A Motor mechanic repairs, maintain and test motor vehicles including internal combustion engines and other related components. Motor mechanics must be skilled in all aspects of petrol engine and diesel engines and other mechanical parts of motor vehicles. A skilled motor mechanic knows how to diagnose faults, repair a car, routine services and maintenance on transmission, steering, brakes and other components.
Job Responsibilities Includes:

  • Detecting and Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in motors and parts.
  • Disassembling and removing motor components, engine components, transmission, steering components and checking other parts of the vehicle.
  • Repairs or replace the defective component of the motor vehicles.
  • Performing routine service, schedules maintenance services includes timing belt change, oil and filter change and ensure it compliances with pollution regulations.
  • Conduct a report on vehicle and provide road worthy certificate and other report about the vehicle.
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical components of the vehicle with the help of computers.
